Project Hookah
Phoenix Resources is a private US based company that is located in Naples, Florida. Our presence is limited to on-line only, with the exception of meetings with established client companies.
Project Hookah focuses on a Hookah diving system that can be used for diving in 1 atmosphere diving of off shore reef structures on a regular basis without the need for a boat. The design challenge was defined that the Hookah device have a battery powered air compressor that floats on the surface of the ocean. The diver is supplied air via an air hose. The entire assembly parameters were that the product be sized so that it can be contained/transported via an SUV to a beach parking lot, traverse a hard surface parking lot, traverse the aerated fluffy white sand of South Florida Beaches, and float on the ocean without the need for boat support. Multiple iterations have yielded a two part system; a motorized 6 wheel remotely controlled sand buggy that can traverse any material and a battery powered Hookah diving package that is supported by a space saving inflatable with pontoons for stabilization. The prototype has been continuously refined and tested until a commercial grade product will be ready September 2026.
